"welcome to the tiki farm"

Based in New Orleans, La., and fresh out of the ground, PINK TEDDY BEAR (named after a type of tropical pink banana) is a savory neo-exotica music and visual experience. Inspired by nature, food, exotica music of the 1950s/‘60s and soundtracks, PTB cook up a sonic gumbo of Latin/African/Middle Eastern/Western grooves, electronics and soundscapes. As part of their musical palette they incorporate the recorded sounds of nature as a collaborator of sorts on the music. Their debut 'Welcome To The Tiki Farm' is a sonic/music field guide to the Tiki Farm. complete with recorded sounds as part of the music. Conceived as an audio-visual project, shows will be immersive using state-of-the-art video surround projection, as well as sampled scents from the Tiki Farm itself through diffusers to create a sensory experience and bring the Tiki Farm to the stage. Shows are planned for fall and winter of 2024.

the family affair

six song ep out winter 2024

From nowhere and everywhere STUMPS DUH CLOWN is a hard living, soft-hearted musician, raconteur, ex-rail rider, dad, clown performer, lover-of-life with few boundaries, and a gentleman of unique character with a million stories to tell. Living somewhere in New Orleans, Stumps is somewhat of a local legend, for among other things, as a co-founder of the Krewe De Vieux, a legendary Mardi Gras seasonal parade provocateurs, as well as playing with a wide range of local musicians. Stumps’ specializes in purist folk blues and country music he plays on his steel Dobro guitar, sometimes accompanied by friends. Once he gets to playing and singing one’s transported back to the early 20th century out on the fields, whiskey bottle in hand, complete with hobo stories. He’s considered such that some of his recordings are in the Smithsonian as an example of Americana.  On this record  ‘The Family Affair’ Stumps is joined by his son Pasha and Banjoist Fitz ?. The six song EP was  recorded live at the Tiki Farm in Pearlington, MS.

riverside path boys

single out fall 2024

THE RIVERSIDE PATH BOYS are a band of students at the Chartwell Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The program centers on the arts for students with autism. Their punk inspired food anthem, “I Want A Donut Now!” came about as a repeatedly strident request from the Path Boys lead singer for the circular confection when inspiration struck. A gift of electric guitars, amps and sound equipment led to formation of the band, support from a donor provided a chance to have access to a recording studio. The rest is music history. The band also cover The Trogg's 'Wild Thinfg' which will be released as the B-side to "I Want A Donut Now!"
