SUI(S) GENERIS  is Latin for essentially “one of a kind.”  In 2023, Ernie Foundas, executive chef of  New Orleans restaurant Suis Generis, launched a record label Suis Generis Music along with two partners (a first for the city), as the next stage of a food and music evolution - a union which singularly defines New Orleans. We are  dedicated to signing artists we like as musicians and people and not defined by a genre. Like the unique cuisine of the restaurant that spawned us, each artist is considered one-of-a-kind, a story to be told beyond the music.
